Nashville will be hopping with bicycle related events this May, and we encourage everyone to get out and RIDE together in our beautiful city. If you know of other events, please contact us and we will help spread the word!
Make sure to check out these events:
—This Sunday, May 3rd is the Urban Assault Ride. It will surely be a fun day full of bikes, obstacle courses, New Belgium beer, food, and music.
—Friday May 8th, the Microcosm Tour will be stopping in Nashville at the Little Hamilton Collective space! Put on by Microcosm Publishing, a company that publishes great DIY literature and zines. The tour is a day of DIY workshops on a variety of subjects- including a bicycle workshop put on by Shelley Jackson of Chainbreaker! Other workshop subjects include screenprinting, vegan cooking, and more.
—Friday May 8th is also Bike to Work Day!!!
—Saturday May 16th at 7am is the 6th annual Tour de Nash. It is a family friendly event that consists of a family walk, family ride, and a grand tour. The Tour de Nash introduces more people to the beautiful greenways around our city, as well as the sidewalks and bike-ways around town. All proceeds go back to programs supported by Walk/Bike Nashville and Tour de Nash. Starts at the Eastbank Greenway at the Titans Stadium!
—Saturday May 30th is the Bike for Branches ride. The 7 mile loop ride (or 3 mile family loop ride) will go past some of Nashville’s oldest and most beautiful trees. Proceeds from this ride will go to planting trees in town! After the ride, there will be a big music celebration at 12 South Taproom. You can sign up at Halcyon Bike if you would like.
Again, let us know if there are other bike events going on! Ride on.
