Random shots from around the shop during this blazin hot summer…

The Belmont University Bicycle Fleet outside of the shop!

During the last few months, we have been busy working on a fleet of bicycles for Belmont University. It is an awesome program that other local schools *coughcoughvanderbiltcoughcough* should consider adopting, and Belmont should be applauded for taking such a progressive step to better the lives of their students and faculty!

The ten bicycles, which are fully refurbished used bikes that Halcyon provided, are *free* for Belmont students and faculty to rent. We helped make the bikes as practical and city friendly as possible, including back racks and baskets- you know, for transporting books, groceries, etc.
So, if you are a Belmont student or faculty member, take advantage of the bikes! We look forward to seeing you ride all over town…

And let me tell you, it’s blazin.

*^*^*^*^*NEW LOCAL & HANDMADE ITEMS!*^*^*^*^*

From Jessica Cheatham:

Most of Jessica’s bags are made from recycled army surplus bags, and are designed with function in mind. The smaller pouches also have belt loops so you can wear them while you ride!

From Alexia Abegg:

I love Alexia’s basket bags- a fabric basket? Yes please. Alexia also teaches sewing and quilting classes- check out her website if you are interested!

We love supporting local makers, so please contact us if you are interested in selling your items at Halcyon. Expect more handmade in the coming months- including a new in-house bicycle bag line!

The survey takes about 5 minutes- FILL IT OUT!
